Why study engineering at Norwich?
Quality: It’s what Norwich engineering is all about
By some standards, Norwich is a small institution, but one of exceptional quality. The University and the David Crawford School of Engineering offer a unique blend of robust engineering education, character building and quality of life.
Quality of education
The School of Engineering offers academic excellence unmatched by many larger institutions. For nearly 200 years, experiential learning and small classes have been the focal point of our academic practice. More than ever, we need engineers who are prepared to take on important challenges facing our world. At the David Crawford School of Engineering, our mission is to provide a broad, practical education that allows graduates to excel in their profession, community, nation and the world.
Quality of character
Interaction between civilian students and members of the Corps of Cadets and wide range of opportunities will help you develop traits common among leaders in every profession: integrity, confidence, critical thinking, adaptability, loyalty and honor.
Quality of Life
The campus is located in Northfield, Vermont, less than 20 minutes from Montpelier, the capital of Vermont and a vibrant community with many things to do. Whether you enjoy paintball, fencing, scuba diving or skiing, there is a club to match everyone’s interest. The Sugarbush and Stowe ski resorts are less than an hour from campus, and theater and musical performances are only minutes away in Montpelier.
Norwich’s athletic venues also provide great opportunities for competition, exercise, friendships and socializing.
