Sukkah

AP 312/412 Spring 2007 Junior/Senior Design Build Studio

This project was for a local Jewish community. A Sukkah is a temporary sacred space that is constructed every autumn for the festival of Sukkot. Families and community members share meals and sometimes even sleep in the Sukkah for the duration of the festival. Our celebration of Thanksgiving is related to Sukkot through the Puritan’s following of the Old Testament traditions.
